Occupational profiles of graduates with examples
A physiotherapist’s professional duty is to support welfare and health by promoting functional ability, mobility and physical activity of a client in his or her varying living environment. Moreover, physiotherapists adopt a research & development and evidence-based approach to their work. A physiotherapist will design, accomplish, evaluate and develop his or her work in regional, national and international professional networks. A physiotherapist is capable of improving his or her own competence and methods in his or her field based on life-long learning.

Examination regulations, assessment and grading
Examination regulations, assessment and grading are specified in the course implementation plan. The teacher in charge of the course will be responsible for the assessment. Students will be informed at the beginning of the course on the assessment principles, which must be based on the course objectives.
I Competence development: Stage 1
Satisfactory (1-2)
Students use the appropriate core concepts as well as make choices using the knowledge base of their own professional field. They recognise the prerequisites and consequences of their own actions.
Students’ actions follow the rules and instructions given, and they use working methods appropriately and safely.
Students work according to the professional ethics of their own field, and they act responsibly as group members.
Good (3-4)
Students analyse the relationships between appropriate core concepts as well as justify their choices using the knowledge base of their own professional field. They analyse the prerequisites and consequences of their own actions.
Students act according to the rules and instructions given in their operating environment, and they use working methods appropriately and safely.
Students work according to the professional ethics of their own field, and they act flexibly as group members.
Excellent (5)

Work placement promoting students’ expertise is implemented in authentic learning environments and in close cooperation between the students, the degree programme and the workplace
representatives.
Obligatory or Optional Mobility
During physiotherapy studies students can participate in various student exchange programmes. Multicultural collaboration is also possible during studies, in different projects, during Metropolias International week and in co-operation with incoming exchange students.
