Profile of the programme
The degree program provides students with the skills needed to work in the field of energy and environmental technology.. The work assignments can be designing, deployment or supervisory work. The studies emphasize strong technical know-how, good communication, teamwork and communication skills. Studies also encourages to internationalization.
During the first three semesters (1,5 year) studies are the same for all students. During the third academic semester, the professional major is chosen among two alternatives:
Energy production technology
Environmental technology

Students graduating from the degree program depending on the major work either for energy or environmental technology companies as well as engineering and consulting offices in expert positions.

Examination regulations, assessment and grading
Each course are assessed according to Metropolia Degree Regulations by using grading 0-5 or pass/fail. The assessment criterias are presented in the course description and the actual assessment methods are set by the course teacher in each implementation.

Mode of study
Studies include lectures, instructed exercises and laboratory work, learning and project tasks in group or individually, self-study, web based studies and work placement.
