Objective
The students are able to face the diversity that occurs in the society and educational communities. They understand the importance of respectful encounters and the role of the peer group in supporting the child’s development. They know and are able to apply key legislation, contracts, services and concepts of disability work and special education. The students recognize the child's needs for support and know and are able to apply supportive methods and practices. They are able to reflect on their own professional activities
Content
The principles governing organizing support in early childhood education. Inclusive early childhood education. Disability, long-term illness and needs for special support in childhood and family. Principles guiding the organization of special education and disability work services. Specific questions related to language and culture.
