Applicants must have an applicable higher education degree, which are:

• Physiotherapist
• Geriatric Nurse

• Registered Nurse
• Bachelor of Social Services
Other Finnish higher education degree that are also qualified:
bachelors or masters in education, medicine, psychology, health sciences, health care or social sciences with diploma level education in one of the above mentioned social or health care professions.
Specific arrangements for recognition of prior learning
Those applying to and enrolled in a higher education institution have the opportunity to apply for recognition of prior learning and previously acquired competencies, irrespective of where or how such competence was acquired. Prior learning corresponding to tertiary level expertise may be transferred as credits towards the degree. Students are responsible for substantiating the competencies that they have acquired. The relevant practices have been described in the Degree Regulations. The guidelines apply the principle of lifelong learning.

Graduates from the Degree Programme in Rehabilitation are capable of acting in demanding rehabilitation development and management positions, which require the ability to anticipate, assess and improve knowledge within the rehabilitation field and reform practices innovatively and internationally.
