Objective
Upon completion of the course, the students will be able to:
- analyse the impact of societal action and economic principles regarding the production of services
- act according to the legislation that guides organizing, producing and supervising services in social services and health care.
- orient themselves economically and cost-effectively in different environments in the supervisory and expert positions
- develop services in care of older people in a business-oriented way

- Societal and economical starting points for producing services in the elderly care
- Legislation regarding organizing, producing and supervising social and health care services
- Marketing, productization and tendering the expertise and services for older people.
- Financial administration and cost accounting in the services for older people.
- Business competence in the care of older people.

The students know how to:
- Define and explain the significance of society and economy for producing services for older people
- Act in a manner required by social and healthcare legislation and the ethical principles of care of older people and equality
- Describe the principles and conditions for for marketing, productising and competitive bidding of the expertise and services for older people
-Identify and describe financial management skills and entrepreneurial competence in organising and producing services for the older people

- Analyse and justify the importance of society and economy for producing services for older people
- Analyse and apply social and healthcare legislation and the ethical principles of care of older people and equality
