Learning outcomes

This course will develop students' knowledge of:
- Marketing principles and the role of Sales Management in this;
- The responsibilities of salespeople;
- How marketing is a part of everyone’s work

Content

More specifically, they will appreciate:
• The importance of focusing on customer needs throughout a company;
• How different functional areas in a business interact;
• The difference between tactical and longer term planning;
• Basic marketing concepts;
• The role of selling in the marketing mix;
• The day to day work of salespeople;
• Selection, motivation and evaluation of salespeople.

The student knows the concepts of Marketing and Sales Management on a satisfactory level.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student knows the concepts of Marketing and Sales Management well. The student can apply the concepts.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student knows the concepts of Marketing and Sales Management very well. The student can apply the concepts and evaluate their use. The student is active in the course.
