Objective
Students are familiar with the interactional elements required to build up and maintain a therapeutic relationship. Students know that physiotherapists’ basic task is to support people’s wellbeing and health by promoting their functional ability and mobility in various environments. They are capable of acting in accordance with the principles of national and international professional ethics. Students are able to explain how the central concepts and models of physiotherapy help to analyse physiotherapeutic activities, their documentation and professional dialogue. They can describe physiotherapeutic activities as a changing and developing process. Students know how to take the correct action in situations threatening public safety, in accidents and the event of sudden illness and administer first aid as appropriate.

The history, present state and future of the physiotherapy profession, education and physiotherapeutic methods Physiotherapy in diverse operational environments Professionalism, professional ethics and legislation Documentation in physiotherapy as part of the national documentation standards Physiotherapy process, therapeutic relationship, interaction and dialogue Central concepts, models, explanatory theories and various description systems of physiotherapy Basics of first aid, action in situations threatening safety, duties of different organisations in rescue services
