Learning outcomes

The students master the safety aspects and risks inherent in live performance engineering. The students can take them into account when working in the industry. The students contribute to safe work practices and safe circumstances.

Relevant legislation, safety regulations and guidelines and the inherent procedures and liabilities.

Further information for students

The course requires at least 80% attendance. The procedure for replacing the absence is agreed with the teacher in charge of the course unit. The schedule of the course can be found in Lukkari. The course requires approved performance in fire safety, electrical safety, common workplace safety, first aid and working at heights courses.

Students know the safety regulations and they can find further information on them. Students can follow given instructions in professional situations.

Students are well versed in the concepts and fundamental knowledge of live performance safety. Students are safety-oriented and they are able to act independently in live projects.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Students use the relevant concepts and information sources systematically and effectively. Students are able to apply fundamental safety knowledge in live projects. Students contribute to safe working practices and circumstances in live performance productions.
