Content: This course will introduce students to the key critical concepts, debates, and questions of practice in disability in society and disability services.The lectures and tasks are scheduled in the Moodle learning environment in the order they are supposed to be completed. Introduction • Video lecture, content of the course, how to proceed • Pre assignment: how people with disabilities are perceived in your country Defining disability – medical and social model • Compare the content of the video lecture to your pre assignment • Themes of equality and equity International and national legislation • UNCRPD convention, content, signing and ratification process • Legislation

HAMK students enrol in Pakki. Humak, Turku UAS and XAMK students register for this course at Peppi/Pakki. Other CampusOnline students register in the campusonline.fi portal as described in the course information.
