Objective

After completion of this course the student will understand the fundamentals of parametric 3D modeling. The student will be familiar with the most common operations involved in modeling. The student will understand the parametric modeling workflow and its key characteristics, applied to 3D part design. The student can implement a functional 3D prototype.

Student understands the principles of parametric modeling.
Returned all lab exercises, activity on group work, reports show understanding of fundamental principles of the topic.

Student is able to implement a simple parametric model.
Activity on laboratory sessions, reports show deep understanding of the topic.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Student is able to design an elegant parametric model that utilizes carefully selected techniques and unique approaches.
Excellent results, individual project shows novel approaches.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Student understands the principles of parametric modeling.
Returned all lab exercises, activity on group work, reports show understanding of fundamental principles of the topic.
