Introduction to Occupational Therapy and Studies (5 ECTS)

Objective

The student:
- becomes familiar with their learning environments, as well as the services, guidelines, rules, and practices related to their studies
- learns about Metropolia's sustainable development goals and measures to create a safe and inclusive learning environment
- knows the opportunities for internationalisation within their studies
- becomes familiar with the curriculum and understands the importance of planning their own study path
- can explain the competencies provided by the degree and identify career opportunities
- recognises the most common programmes and systems needed for studying
- after completing the basic information security course, the student will be able to handle information appropriately, identify the most common information security threats and be prepared to meet the requirements of working life in terms of information security skills
- after completing the basic course in artificial intelligence, the student will understand the principles of large language models and their advantages and disadvantages. They will be able to use AI in a responsible and ethical way in learning, taking responsibility for the content of their own work and following good scientific practice.

- Itsenäisesti luettavaa materiaalia (annetaan tunneilla) ja oppimistehtäviä, jotka merkitään itse suoritetuiksi.
-opintojaksoon kuuluu myös mm. tutoropiskelijoiden ja tutkintovastaavan sekä muiden opiskeluun liittyvien kumppanien osuuksia. kts. lukujärjestys.
-Toimintaterapiaryhmään osallistuminen x 3 tarkemmat tiedot opintojakson aloitustapaamisella.

Opintojakso pitää sisällään Metropolian kaikille pakolliset tietoturva ja tekoäly-osuudet. Niiden suoritus tapahtuu itsenäisen työskentelyn ajankohtina opintojakson moodle työtilan kautta.

Huomioithan, että oppimistehtävissä tulee hyödyntää opintojakson tavoitteisiin soveltuvia ja/tai määriteltyjä lähteitä ja tekoäly voi toimia tukena omalle ajattelulle. Oppimistehtävien tekstiä ei siis voi muodostaa tekoälyllä. Mikäli hyödynnät tekoälyä oppimistehtävissä, tulee se kirjata selkeästi esille.

Toimintaterapiaan ja alan opiskeluun tutustumisen osuudessa jokainen opiskelija osallistuu 3xtoimintaterapiaryhmään. Ryhmien päivät on merkitty lukujärjestykseen. Toimintaterapiaryhmiin liittyvä ryhmäjako tehdään opintojakson alussa ja sen kautta lukujärjestysmerkinnät täsmentyvät.

Lukujärjestyksessä myös merkintöjä A ja B-ryhmille. Ryhmäjako ilmoitetaan opintojakson alussa ja seuraa opiskelijoita läpi opintojen.
