Assessment methods and criteria
The course consists of two parts: assignments to be completed in Moodle and an exam to be taken in the electronic exam system. Both parts are evaluated on a scale of 0-5, and both must receive a passing grade. The final course grade is calculated as a weighted average of the two parts, with the assignments accounting for 40% and the exam 60%
(course grade = 0.4 x assignment grade + 0.6 x exam grade).
The grades for both the exam and the assignments are determined based on the ratio of the total points received by the student to the maximum points available in each section. The lower limits for grades are as follows:
50 % of total points: 1
60 % of total points: 2
70 % of total points: 3
80 % of total points: 4
90 % of total points: 5
