Objective
The students justify the starting points of their thesis from the point of view of developing their own professional field. The students cooperate in various work life networks with representatives, instructors and students of working life. They draw up a viable plan for the thesis based on critical information gathering and creative solutions. They act in accordance with the principles of professional and research ethics. The students use international research literature to draw up the plan. The students become acquainted with the reading and working with scientific texts and the practices of academic writing.
Content
The Bachelor's thesis process. The current development needs of the field. Cooperative negotiations with work life representatives, network-like work and peer support. Obtaining information while examining international research literature. Justified choice of work practices and methods. Method guidance, textual guidance and data acquisition. Communicating research and development activities. Drawing up a literary review and a preliminary research plan for their presentation at a seminar. Questions related to the research permit and the consent of the participants.
In English: learning the professional vocabulary. Reading and working on a scientific text.
Communicating the topic of the thesis in English.

The students of the early childhood education path will choose the topic of their thesis in the context of early childhood education.
