Objective

The student recognises basic principles of waste management and is able to do simple waste plans for municipal solid waste.

Content

-Formation of solid waste, waste management, composition of waste and financial aspects
-Small scale industry waste
-Organic agricultural waste
-Waste treatment and disposal technologies

The student recognises different stages of waste management and can estimate their purpose.

The student can design simple management chain for municipal solid waste.

The student can design efficient and sustainable management chain based on statistical/given date for municipal solid waste.

The student recognises different stages of waste management and can estimate their purpose.

Qualifications

The student have the basic knowledge of quality- and environmental management systems. The student understands the basics of environmental chemistry of waste and soil. The student recognises selected environmental engineering processes and equipment as part of the process.
