Objective
Students will identify the main trends in Western art history and the development of visual communication design. Students will be able to search for information about art and visual culture. They will be able to critically examine and analyse their learning. Students will be able to perceive the impact of social and cultural events on art and visual communication design. They will understand the influence of art history on design and media culture in their own time. They will also understand the importance of multiculturalism in art history. Students will be able to use historical references and visual styles in their own work and design solutions.
