Objective
Student is able to use mathematical expressions encountered in engineering and science. Student is able to solve equations and systems of equations. Student is able to draw and interpret function graphs. Student knows the concept of logarithm. Student is familiar with different units of angle and trigonometric functions and their use in solving triangles. Student knows the basic concepts related to vectors and s/he is able to perform vector operations in plane and space environments and apply the knowledge in practice.

Mathematical notation and manipulation of mathematical expressions
First- and second-degree equation, polynomial and radical equation, proportion and fractional equation
System of linear equations
Analytical, graphical and numerical solution of an equation
Concept of function and first and second degree polynomial function
Concept of logarithm
Logarithmic and exponential function and related equations
Units of angle, trigonometric functions and solving triangles
Concept of vector, vectors in a plane and direction angle and components of a vector
Vectors in space
Vector projection, scalar product and vector product
