Objective

The student understands the possibilities of the game engines and the design requirements for the visual components used in them. The student is able to produce visual content in a gaming environment and produce interactive and playable content. The student knows the possibilities of game engines and real-time rendering in content production.

Content

The course uses the use of a game engine using 2D graphics and simple 3D graphics. This course is a design work that is modeled with suitable 3D software for transfer to a game engine, where the 3D model is transformed into an interactive and manipulable entity for use on different platforms.

- Design process, Idea, Sketching
- Preparation of graphics and animation for the game engine
- editing 3D content for game engine use.
- game engines, operating principles, use, elements, textures, lighting, rendering
- Interactivity, basics of script and node-based programming
- publishing platforms

Evaluation scale

0-5

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student is able to prepare visual media content and compile a simple interactive entity running for a game engine, as well as publish it on a selected platform.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student is able to design and produce an interactive entity running on a game engine, and to publish it on different platforms, taking into account its characteristics.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student is able to design an interactive entity that works with a game engine. One is able to produce and prepare material by making use of the features of the game engine and compiling a functional, high-quality interactive entity, taking into account the special features of the publishing platform.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The student is able to prepare visual media content and compile a simple interactive entity running for a game engine, as well as publish it on a selected platform.
