Objective

Students know how to describe health promotion as a socially multidimensional and diverse phenomenon as well as a continuous process providing people with possibilities for increasing and improving control of their health. Students are able to identify the need for counselling concerning clients’ change of lifestyles and counsel clients in an empowering way to increase their resources and participatory actions. Students are able to assess the lifestyle guidance they have provided to develop their own actions. They are aware of the significance of nutrition as a factor improving clients’ functional ability and performance as well as rehabilitation.

Students use the appropriate core concepts as well as make choices using the knowledge base of their own professional field. They recognise the prerequisites and consequences of their own actions. Students analyse the relationships between appropriate core concepts as well as justify their choices using the knowledge base of their own professional field. They analyse the prerequisites and consequences of their own actions. Students act according to the rules and instructions given in their operating environment, and they use working methods appropriately and safely.
