Objective

The student will gain an overview on the latest material research, innovations and methods in her/his own special field of conservation. The student examines the current R&D in her/his own field of conservation and evaluates the applicability of the methods for conservation of different materials and objects in her/his own work. The student is able to critically evaluate and comment in written the studied R&D materials from the point of view of his/her own special field of conservation.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student recognizes the latest trends, discussion and research in the field of conservation. The student knows the current discussion in her/his own special field of conservation and is able to follow the international debate concerning it. The student understands on a basic level the applicability of the latest scientific research for his/her own work. The student knows the basics of relevant terminology and methodology.

The student knows the current discussion in her/his own special field of conservation and is able to evaluate and comment the international debate and scientific research from the point of view of his/her own work.
