Objective

The aim of the course is practical assessment and development skills of environmental accessibility. After the course, the student is able to pay attention to accessibility solutions and make development proposals based on those regulations and recommendations.

Content

o During the course, the student uses and applies the acquired knowledge when evaluating, planning and implementing user-oriented accessibility solutions related to environments and tools.
o The student evaluates environmental solutions that promote human participation and applies his / her skills in the design and development of an accessible operating environment.
o The student understands the importance of accessibility to the client's autonomy and equality.

Location and time

Flexible On-line study in between the period of 22.5.-30.9.2023. The evaluating is done in the end of August and September.
The studies are planned to be done in a schedule of one/theme subject per one week and by studying in this timetable the whole study will last for 6 weeks

The study can also be completed applied for 3-5 credits. A more detailed description can be found in Moodle when the studies begin.

Student workload

Flexible On-line study in between the period of 22.5.-30.9.2023. The evaluating is done in the end of Mars, May and August.
The studies are planned to be done in a schedule of one/theme subject per one week and by studying in this timetable the whole study will last for 6 weeks

Content scheduling

The study takes place completely online in Moodle between 22.5.-30.9.2023. The evaluations take place at the end of August and September.
The main study takes place during the week according to the student's own schedule. The recommended study rhythm is 1 module/subject per week, in which case studies of 5 credits last a total of 6 weeks. Moodle shows the parts that must be done if the student wants to complete 3 credits. or 4 credits

The student familiarizes himself with different accessibility topics every week: Videos, assigned literature and articles, as well as independently acquired material. Based on these theory sources, various applied learning tasks are done.

If you need a course evaluation by 31.7.2023 (Open AMK path student), make sure that all the assignments for this study unit are done by 20.7.2023 at 10:00 p.m. Also, be in touch with the supervisors about this immediately at the start of the study period.

• Return of all assigned weekly assignments with approval
• Participating in assigned group discussions on Moodle in accordance with the minimum guidelines
• Reflection and learning diary for the entire course
• Giving course feedback
