    Visual Communication Design – Motion Graphics

Objective

The student is able to produce motion graphics based on a brand identity for various use cases utilizing video and 2D and 3D graphics. One understands the possibilities of digital set extensions and visual effects in movie narration and uses them to create visual effects or visually stylized motion graphics project.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student is familiar with the design process in customer-driven motion graphics projects, knows film effects production techniques and related terminology. One is familiar with different uses of motion graphics and is able to produce media elements for a selected publishing environment.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student knows the design process in customer-driven motion graphics projects, knows film effects production techniques and related terminology. One is able to adapt a visual style in the production of moving graphics and take into account the characteristics of the publishing environment.
The student is able to combine 2D and 3D graphics with the live-action video and understands the possibilities of digital set extensions and visual effects for video, and understands the potential of digital sets and film effects.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student knows the design process in customer-driven motion graphics projects, knows film effects production techniques and related terminology. One is able to creatively adapt a visual style in the production of moving graphics and take into account the characteristics of the publishing environment. The student is able to combine 2D and 3D graphics with the live-action video and understands the possibilities of digital set extensions and visual effects for video, and is able to produce a vfx project on high standards.
