Objective

This course helps students to understand cultural tourism as a tool to plan and do regional development in networks of various stakeholders.

Content

Applience:
• understanding the importance and benefits of cultural tourism and co operation needed in it in the framework of creative economy and regional development
• construction of multidisciplinary networks and understanding the need of various stakeholders
• application of own professional competences in networks of cultural tourism
• anticipation of development paths of cultural tourism and understand various options to develop business in cultural tourism
• utilisation of facilitation and problem-solving skills

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The final report that has a development project plan that misses most of the main themes of the course. The report follows some reporting guidelines to some extent. The material available on Moodle has not been benefited. The language used is understandable English.

The final report that has a credible and understandable development project plan including thematic assignments. Furthermore, the report follows some reporting guidelines to some extent including also in-text references and list of sources. The material on Moodle is benefited. The language used is good English.

The final report that has a credible and creative development project plan including the thematic assignments. Furthermore, the report follows some reporting guidelines including also in-text references and list of sources. The material available on Moodle is benefited well. The language used is good English with the emphasis of academic language.

Prerequisites

At least third semester studies or some knowledge and understanding of cultural tourism or completion of e.g. Approach to Cultural Tourism and/or From Idea to Product in Cultural Tourism courses.
