Objective

The students become familiar with the principles of setting up an enterprise. The students are able to evaluate the feasibility of their business idea. The students know the fundamentals of the economic management of the company, the key taxation policies and statutory obligations. The students understand the responsibilities involved in a supervisory position and can understand supervisory models of behavior and interrelated principles. The students are able to analyze and develop interpersonal skills at work both as an employee and a superior. The students respect and acknowledge diversity in the professional field and they apply principles of equality and parity in their work.

The course has no exam as assessment is based on continuous assessment and assignments. Individual arrangements must be discussed with course staff.

Student workload

Work required is heavily dependent on students earlier knowledge in the subject.

Opintojaksolla on opetuskerroilla 50 % läsnäolovelvollisuus. Mahdollisesta poissaolosta seuraa erillinen korvaava tehtävä, joka tulee olla suoritettu hyväksytysti ennen arviointia.
