Objective

The students cope in everyday and professional communication situations and are able to ask and answer questions in common service situations as well as give basic personal information. The students identify differences in the customs and communication strategies of their mother tongue and the target language. They recognize and use the basic grammatical structures and politeness expressions of the language.
The students are able to identify the different Japanese orthographies and their uses. They can read and write Hiragana and Katakana characters, identify about 30 Kanji characters related to numbers and expressions of time. The students are able to place Japanese cultural phenomena into the correct historical and cultural contexts.

Content

The students practice grammatical structures, pronunciation, characters, and listening comprehension, and participate in communicative exercises in pairs and small groups.
They also familiarize themselves with Japanese customs and cultural history.

Location and time

Opetus Zoomissa tiistai-iltaisin klo 16.30-19.45. Ensimmäinen tapaaminen 17.1.2023 on lähiopetusta Myyrmäessä, samoin lopputentti.

Materials

Oppikirjana on Marugoto Nyuumon A1 Katsudoo (valkoinen kansi kirjassa). Lisäksi kirjaa on myynnissä esim. Amazonissa ja Adlibriksessä, ja se on saatavana myös E-kirjana.
