Objective
The student utilises his/her knowledge of the client's functional limitations and the factors influencing the choice of mobility aids. The student describes the importance of mobility aids for the client's autonomy and independent functioning in different operating environments. The student masters the operating principles of the most common mobility aids. The student describes the importance of proper seating for a wheelchair user. The student applies the acquired knowledge base in aid assessments, instructions for use and functionality assessment, as well as in maintenance and repair work. The student knows the special exercise needs of special groups.
