Objective
The student is able to record, edit and process vocals on a digital audio workstation. The student is able to describe the basic physiology involved in singing. The student is able to communicate constructively and positively with singers and musicians in recording situations. The student can direct, manage and record vocal productions and provide proper signal processing in the production of vocal tracks. The student is able to complete assignments according to schedule.
Content
Studio work, vocal recording sessions, giving and receiving peer feedback. Lectures and guest lectures. Basics of vocal physiology. The producer's role in finishing the vocal tracks. Tuning of vocal tracks and other processing technology.

The student is able to record, edit and process vocals on a digital audio workstation. The student is able to communicate constructively and positively with singers in recording situations. The student is able to describe the characteristics and requirements of a successful vocal recording. The student is able to complete assignments according to schedule. The student is able to argue their own contribution and is able to receive feedback and reflect on their own work.
Prerequisites
The student is able to plan, implement and work with musicians in a recording session in a professional studio. The student is able to listen critically and analytically. The student is able to define the role of a music producer in different music productions. The student is able to specify the producer's tasks and the related responsibilities and requirements. The student is able to specify the technical and artistic features of music productions of different eras and genres. The student understands the historical development of music technology and production and is able to relate it to contemporary ways of working. The student is able to implement basic music productions.
