Innovation Project (10 ECTS)

Learning outcomes

On completion of the course the student can
- Develop practical, creative and innovative solutions, practices and services with multidisciplinary partners to meet the diverse needs in the Helsinki Metropolitan area.
The student participates in project or network-based work and applies his or her expertise in regional, national or international development work.
- Use his or her personal skills and abilities to work and collaborate in multidisciplinary teams.
- Create a culture of cooperation and negotiation with the team members and other actors.
- Use his or her skills in problem solving, collaboration and communication to support the social development and joint decision making of the team.

Content

Project and innovation work: brainstorming, planning, implementing, assessing, communicating, publishing, product development and marketing.
Cooperative skills, interest group activities and networking.
Innovative work methods.
Areas of communal development skills: development processes, coordinating and managing development, reforming the development concepts.

Teaching methods

Kesto JOKO periodi 1 seitsemän viikon sprintti Kivelän sairaalan kulttuuritoiminta ja sairaalamuusikkous. Opetus keskiviikkona klo 9-10:30

TAI kesto voi olla myös koko kevään 12 vko, 24.1--28.4.2022.- jolloin työryhmä suunnittelee oman aikataulun projektilleen. Ohjaajatapaamiset sovitaan erikseen Jukka Väisäsen kanssa.

Projektin tapaamispäivä keskiviikko 9-11. + muita erikseen sovittavia aikoja tilaajan kanssa.

27.4. Minnofest. Projektin esittely. Valmis tuote /prototyyppi tai markkinointimateriaali. Jokin käyttöönotettu, hyödyllinen, lisäarvoa tuottava asia. Innovaation/proton esitys videoesittelynä. Oppimispäiväkirjan palautus. Aineiston luovutus tilaajalle.

Metka-speksI: yleisötyö

- Musikaali: Eetu Hämäläisen ja Janne Kovasen musikaalituotanto: puvustus & lavastus – ideointi ja toteutus. Myös tuottaja-tehtäviä. Tulee yksi esitys toukokuussa Metropolialla. 8 biisiä: Eetu säveltää ja Janne tekee tarinan. Hoitavat projektia pitkälti itse mutta puvustus ja lavastus tarvitsisi ideointia ja tuotantoa kohtuullisin kustannuksin.

o Kivelän Sairaala -Sairaalamuusikko-konsepti

o Voit ehdottaa myös omaa monialaista, työelämälähtöistä projektia, johon tulee muita opiskelijoita mukaan. Tulee olla tilaaja ja työryhmä. Toimita projekti-idea etukäteen viimeistään sunnuntaina 16.1.2022 sähköpostina jukka.vaisanen@metropolia.fi

Opetus keskiviikkoisin

Keskiviikkopäivät:
26.1. 9-10:30 Oppimispäiväkirja. Visiointi, tiimit & tiimiosaaminen.
2.2. 9-10:30 Ideat ja niiden fokusointi. 25 ideaa.
9.3. 9-10:30 Ideoiden ja lähtötilanteen kirkastaminen. Idean tiivis kuvaus: konseptit.
16.2. 9-10:30 Projekti ja projektihallinta. Projektisuunnitelman teko. Omatoimista työskentelyä projektin parissa. Konkreettisen lopputuotteen tekeminen alkaa.

9.3. 9-10:30 Välicheck tiimeittäin/aika tarkennetaan ryhmittäin.. Konkreettinen hahmotelma kehittymissä tuotteesta, palvelusta, esityksestä, toiminnasta. Esitys-kokeilu-harjoittelu-testaus.
30.3.. 9-10:30 Välicheck tiimeittäin/aika tarkennetaan ryhmittäin.
13.4. 9-10:30 Projekti valmistuu, viimeistelyvaihe. Esittelyvideon tekeminen.
Viikko 16 (-Minnofest -esittelyohjaus -erillinen aika.
27.4. Minnofest. Projektin esittely. Valmis tuote /prototyyppi tai markkinointimateriaali. Jokin käyttöönotettu, hyödyllinen, lisäarvoa tuottava asia. Innovaation/proton esitys videoesittelynä. Oppimispäiväkirjan palautus. Aineiston luovutus tilaajalle.

Hyväksytty suoritus koostuu seuraavista kokonaisuuksista: Osallistuminen luennoille ja oppimistehtävien hyväksytty palautus. Projektisuunnitelma, projekti, loppuraportti ja videoesittely.

The student helps to set-up a cooperative negotiation culture with other actors in the field. The student uses his/her personal skills and abilities to contribute to the work of a multidisciplinary team.
The student develops together with the other actors practical, creative and innovative solutions, modes of operation or services to meet the multi-faceted needs of the residents of the Helsinki metropolitan area.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student's ability to use principles of project and network-based work in regional, national or international development oriented work is on a high level.
The student is able to analyse and develop his/her co-operation and communication skills in cooperative development processes and decision making.
The student understands cooperative negotiation culture and helps to build it with the other actors.
The student is able to analyse and develop his/her professional competence and put it in the service of a multidisciplinary team.
The student develops together with the other actors practical, creative and innovative solutions, modes of operation or services to meet the multi-faceted needs of the residents of the Helsinki metropolitan area.
