The student is able to evaluate and develop clinical laboratory work by using national and international quality guidelines, standards and evidence based knowledge.

The course language is English. All material are in English, but assessment tasks can be also written in Finnish. Most of the course is self-directed and allows flexibility in when and where it is done. The orientation, two lectures and the presentation of development task will be in real time. It is essential for everyone to adhere to the deadlines.

Prerequisites
Bachelor of Health Care (Biomedical Laboratory Science) or other applicable Finnish higher education degree (Bachelor's or Master's degree at a university or UAS) combined with a previously acquired vocational college diploma of a laboratorian. Alternatively, an overseas higher education degree that corresponds to the previously listed Finnish degrees, combined with valid professional practice rights in Finland, or a directive certificate.
