Objective

The student
• knows the main measures and indicators of production performance and how they relate to the overall performance of the company
• is able to build or select the right metrics for production monitoring and analysis
• is able to use indicators and analysis results to support decision making
• knows and can use different methods of production development
• knows the principles of continuous improvement and can use them as part of production development
• knows what influences the manufacturability and assemblability of a product and is able to develop the product and the production process according to these principles
• has a good understanding of the various methods of cost accounting and investment appraisal and is able to use them to support production decision making.

• knows the principles of continuous improvement and the different methods of production development
• is able to assess manufacturability and assemblability
• knows the different methods of cost accounting and investment appraisal and can apply them to the development of production.

The student
• knows the concepts of production measurement and can select or build the right metrics to measure production and use them to support decision making
• masters the different methods of continuous improvement and production development
• is able to develop the product and the production process with respect to manufacturability and assembly
• knows the different methods of cost accounting and investment appraisal and can apply them in production development and decision support.
