Objective

Students know the basics of narration in media and film. They know different narrative techniques and their importance in storytelling. The students are able to identify and evaluate narration in different media.

- dramaturgical principles of audiovisual narration
- the role of narrative in media and cinema
- forms and structures of narration
- narrator and point of view in narrative
- image and sound narration and its importance

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The students attend the course with approval and complete the assignments satisfactorily. They are familiar with narrative conventions and concepts of audiovisual dramaturgy. The students will be able to identify narrative elements in a finished story and understand the basic concepts of structure. They will be able to work as part of a group.
