Objective
Student
- know how to plan, implement and evaluate evidence-based public health nursing of schoolchildren and students in a client-oriented way
- can use evidence-based knowledge on the growth and development of school-aged children and young people
- are able to evaluate and support the resources of a school-aged young person and his/her family as well as evaluate the need for increased support and extended services if necessary
- are able to use the effective and client-oriented health promotion work methods
- are proficient in working as experts of public health nursing in multi-actor school and student communities
- can utilize a research and development-minded approach in the operating environment of school and student health nurses

Qualifications
The student may choose professional studies of public health nursing after successfully completing the theoretical requirements of professional nursing studies as well as all the clinical practices in medical and surgical operating environments, unless otherwise agreed in the student's PSP.
