Objective

Students comprehend the service system of basic health care, and its function in client-oriented nursing.
Students can plan, implement, evaluate and develop the nursing of patients and clients of all ages in diverse basic health care environments.
Students can support and guide the patient and family members through the different stages of the care path.
Students are capable of independent and multiprofessional decision-making as part of the overall treatment in diverse operational environments of basic health care and elderly care.
Students show responsibility through their own actions on the quality of their nursing.

Students deepen their know-how in nursing an acute gerontological patient.

• The structure and tasks of basic health care
• The third sector as a service provider
• Client-initiated support of resources and self-care in basic health care?
• Special features and assistive nursing methods of the decision-making process within basic health care? and acute gerontological nursing
• Nurse competence in the operational environments of basic health care, e.g. nurse consultations, acute ward, home hospital, home care, mental health and substance abuse units
• Multiprofessional networking in the nursing of clients or patients in basic health care? and in acute gerontological nursing
• Specific questions
