Objective
The student understands the importance of visual merchandising in business, as well as in shaping the image and building a brand.
She/ he knows the different elements of visual merchandising and is able to combine them for strengthening the brand message.
Content
• Visual image of a brand strategy
• Trends and themes as marketing tools
• Brand labels, packaging and display
• Retail, showroom and fair stand design
Qualifications
Ability to use vector graphics (eg, Illustrator, Corel Draw) is needed.
Ability to use an image manipulation program (eg Photoshop) is an advantage.

PRE-TASK
• Observe fashion stores in your residential area.
• Describe the environment in which the clothes are visually well presented, and the other environment where you think they are not well represented.
