Objective

On completion of the course the student will be familiar with field-specific vocabulary and will understand the main content of texts associated with the field. The student will be able to acquire field-specific information from English sources and evaluate their reliability. The student will have an adequate knowledge of formal and technical writing to write enquiries, offers, orders and complaints related to his or her field. The student will be able to communicate in work-related situations. The student will be able to describe field-specific products, production processes and workflows and deliver a product presentation.

Information acquisition from field-specific sources in English.
English for trade fairs, conferences and business communications.
