Objective
The student knows the basics of life cycle analysis and the standards that define the principles of life cycle assessment. The student will be able to use life cycle analysis to compare different systems, production stages and environmental impacts. The student will understand the basic principles of the circular economy and the importance of using process side streams and assessing the reuse of products.

- Practical LCA application using appropriate software

The student understands the basics of energy and the environment technologies.

The student is able to define or describe the subject matter related to the concepts and phenomena qualitatively and calculate the associated basic quantitative comparisons and calculations.

The student is able to apply, calculate, change and choose the concepts related to the matter and phenomena qualitatively and calculate the basic quantitative calculations as well as to complete and produce the necessary information for the calculations
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
Student understands extensive entities and relations between them, and is able to generalize, analyze and relate life cycle thinking to the professional context. The students is able to categorize, collect, combine and generalize the concepts related to the matter and phenomena qualitatively and calculate the basic quantitative calculations as well as derive and rearrange given basic information.
