Objective
The student understands the need for energy storage in the green transition. The student is familiar with the most common technologies used for energy storage. The student is able to select and size the appropriate energy storage for different applications. The student is able to assess the economic viability of energy storage. The student understands the factors affecting the safety of energy storage.

The student understands the need for energy storage in the green transition and is familiar with the most common energy storage technologies. The student knows how to select and size energy storage for different uses and how to assess the economic viability of energy storage according to the given guidelines.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The student masters the most common energy storage technologies. The student knows how to select and size an energy storage system suitable for different uses and how to assess its economic viability independently. The student understands the factors affecting the safety of energy storage facilities.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The student understands the role of energy storage systems in a comprehensive way, integrating the opportunities and constraints of different technologies in the development of the future energy system. The student is able to make informed and optimized choices of energy storage systems and to size them for complex and varying applications, taking into account technical, economic and safety factors.
