Objective
Students are able to
• describe occupational vision, eye protection and related legislation, recommendations for indoor lighting, recommendations and regulations related to display screen work, and legislation on traffic vision
• evaluate the lighting and visual load in office and information work
• apply their own special knowledge as an visual ergonomics expert.
Content
• vision in the information work – vision load, ergonomics, eye and symptoms and legislation for special spectacles for computer work
• vision requirements for traffic and occupations - driving license regulation, aviation vision requirements
• eye protection – safety glasses, materials and standards
• interior lighting - recommendations and assessment
Qualifications
The prerequisite for this course is the successful completion of a valid course of study in accordance with the curriculum in force, where the student has demonstrated sufficient knowledge and skills in the following subjects: Vision and eye examination
The prerequisites are fulfilled when the student has passed the following courses: Refraction, Binocular Vision and Ortoptics and Vision Correction
