Objective

Students are able to
Assess and prescribe near addition
Assess near vision and function of the accommodation
Assess extraocular muscle balance, measure phorias and vergences
Assess binocular vision, fixation disparity, stereo acuity
Record the test results clearly in accordance with optometry guidelines.

Qualifications

The prerequisite for this course is the successful completion of a valid course of study in accordance with the curriculum in force, where the student has demonstrated sufficient knowledge and skills in the following subjects: The student is able to determine the objective and subjective refractive error

The prerequisites are fulfilled when the student has passed the following courses: Refraction and Eye Examination Practicals 2: Refraction
