Objective
The student
• is able to act in a variety of sampling situations
• understands the importance of special practices when sampling
• incorporates ergonomic working methods in sampling into their personal professional skills
• deepens their ECG skills
• is able to use various techniques for taking samples and when taking samples at a ward
• deepens their sample-taking skills
• is able to instruct clients in collecting secretion and excretion samples
• collects, handles, preserves and dispatches laboratory samples to a high quality standard and carries out patient examinations and sample tests performed in primary health care
• assesses the effect of pre-analytical factors on the results of the patient's laboratory results and understands the significance of pre-analytics and taking samples in the laboratory process
• understands occupational and patient safety in pre-analytics
• uses the laboratory data system for submitting examination requests
• acts under the principles of sustainable development in terms of taking samples and pre-analytics.
