The student
• identifies the diverse needs of clients in terms of culture, language, religion, sexual orientation and gender diversity
• becomes aware of their own assumptions and practices related to diversity
• identifies ways to actively promote equality and good community relations and to address intersectional discrimination in their environments.
Content
• The role of culture, language, religion, sexual orientation and gender diversity in human identity and well-being
• Clients belonging to different minorities as users of social and health services
• Cultural and gender sensitivity as part of learning and working communities and professional approach to client work
• Promoting equality and preventing discrimination and polarisation
