The student is able to creatively apply learner-oriented teaching methods as a specialist of one-to-one tuition in their main instrument. The student is able to guide their learner to improvise. The student is capable of constructive interaction and goal-directed teaching in music pedagogy. The student can plan and implement larger pedagogical arcs based on the learner’s strengths. The student is able to give feedback from longer learning processes and is able to use feedback as an activating and encouraging teaching method. The student is able to analyse learning situations on a more profound level than the visible and is able to deepen their own pedagogical awareness as part of their professional development. The student is familiar with the more demanding repertoire of their instrument. The student has incorporated continuous reflection as a part of their professional development and is able to express it also in their ePortfolio.

Advanced content of instrument pedagogy, demanding repertoire of one’s instrument, pedagogy of improvisation, individual and collaborative reflection, observation of teaching and learning, ePortfolio, one-to-one instrument teaching practice.

Qualifications

The student can plan and implement logically advancing learning processes and apply learner-oriented, encouraging methods in the one-to-one tuition of their own instrument. The student can motivate the learner and provide multi-faceted feedback. The student can support the learner’s learning through planning of repertoire and is able to select teaching materials of a suitable level. The student can reflect their own learning process and activities as a teacher.
