Descriptions

Studies in automotive electrics are based on the combination of automotive engineering, electrics and electronics and machine technology. After graduation, students shall:
- know the basic automotive structures, components and systems
- know the methods of automotive manufacturing technologies
- understand dynamic behaviour of vehicles
- be able to simulate automotive systems using mathematical models
- understand the meaning of natural sciences in automotive applications
- know the functionality of internal combustion engines
- know the differences in automotive battery technology and their applications
- be able to diagnose and trace faults in automotive electrical applications
- know the basics of electrics and electronics including semiconductor components
- have the basic knowledge of material technology
- be able to read and design automotive electric diagrams
