The student
• is familiar with the current debate related to child protection
• is aware of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child
• understands the principles and content of the Child Welfare Act and other legislation governing child protection
• knows and can apply fundamental concepts related to child protection
• can identify the reasons for the need for child protection and understand the stages of the child protection process
• is familiar with the child protection service system
• identifies ethical issues related to child protection
• is able to reflect on their professional conduct and understands their professional role in multidisciplinary cooperation in child protection.
