Objective
The students are able to examine violence as an individual, community based and societal phenomenon. They can examine traumas and crises in the individual life course. They recognize the risk of abuse and intimate partner violence in the lives of individuals of different ages.
The students acquire the skills to verbally bring up violence and learn a trauma-conscious work approach. The students are able to guide the clients to the services in trauma and crisis work as well as violence prevention work.
Content
Key concepts and theories in the phenomena of crises, trauma and violence. Trauma, crises and the risks of violence in the lives of individuals of different ages. Legislation related to intimate partner violence. Forms of trauma, crisis and violence prevention work and multidisciplinary cooperation. Speaking up.
