Objective
The students will be able to analyse a variety of cultures, ways of life, and life courses as well as assess their significance in the lives of individuals and communities. The students will learn socio-pedagogical methods in supporting daily life. They learn how to carry out activities that support the inclusion of individuals and communities, take into account diversity and reflect on their activities. The goals of the students in the early childhood education path highlight supporting children in early childhood education and their life situations.
The students will be able to communicate fluently and effectively in English in their studies and work tasks, as well as use English to develop their own professional skills. They will have a realistic understanding of their language proficiency, as well as a positive attitude towards further developing their skills as part of their professional expertise. The oral and written communication skills correspond to the B2 level of the Common European Framework (CEFR). The students' oral expression is natural they can take the register of language use into account. Their written expression is clear and structured and their vocabulary is versatile.
Content
Life course, way of life, stages of life and life events. Diversity, ethnic groups. Pedagogical methods suitable for different client groups: sports education, arts education, music education, oral expression and literature. Fundamentals of methods and links to socio-pedagogical work. Key English concepts, terms and interactive situations in the work of the Bachelor of Social Services. Studying, work environment and work tasks in English
