Objective

Upon completing the course, the student will be able to:
- understand the UN's Sustainable Development Goals and their significance in organisational operations
- plan and implement sustainable development strategies in the organisation
- integrate sustainable development goals into the organisation's strategy and operations
- understand the concepts of environmental responsibility and their significance in organisational operations and can apply the principles of environmental responsibility in practical situations
- understand the legislation and international standards related to environmental responsibility
- comply with these requirements and assess their impact on organisational operations
- understand the importance of ethical principles and values in leadership and develop and lead ethical practices in the organisation
- internalise the importance of collaboration in promoting sustainable development.

- Principles of sustainable development and their significance in management
- Concepts of environmental responsibility and their application in organisations
- Legislation and international standards related to environmental responsibility
- Compliance with environmental responsibility requirements and their impact on organisational operations
- The importance of ethical principles and values in management
- Practices of responsible leadership and their impact on organisational operations
- The UN's Sustainable Development Goals and their integration into the organisation's strategy
- Planning and implementation of sustainable development strategies
- Development and leadership of collaboration to promote sustainable development

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student demonstrates that they understand the basic content of the course but there are shortcomings in their ability to independently acquire and interpret information and apply what they have learned.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student demonstrates that they have a good understanding of the content of the course. They actively acquire information and interpret the key connections between different pieces of information. The student has the ability to analyse what they have learned and to apply it in practice.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student demonstrates that they have a diverse and broad understanding of the content of the course. They possess excellent information acquisition skills that are suited to the purpose at hand. The student demonstrates independence and responsibility in the choices they make. They have a creative and broad-based ability to apply what they have learned in practice.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Approved: The student demonstrates that they understand the basic content of the course but there are shortcomings in their ability to independently acquire and interpret information and apply what they have learned in practice.

The course can be accredited with prior Master’s degree level studies the contents of which correspond to the contents of this course, or with strong competence with similar content obtained in other ways.
