Objective

The student is able to justify and plan their thesis in collaboration with a working life partner.

The student is able to apply researched and expert information as well as research and development methods in their field in a critical and productive manner in order to address development needs and solve challenges faced by businesses and organisations.

The student is able to make justified choices.

Content

- Selection of the subject of the thesis, ideation and planning
- Systematic literature searches and acquisition of information
- Preparation of the research plan: research and development methods suited to their purpose, theoretical background/framework, data, data collection and data management, data analysis methods, research ethics, data protection and sound scientific practices, reliability
- Permits and consents

Workshops, seminars, individual tutorials and small group tutorials in accordance with the degree programme’s instructions.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Pass/Fail: Passing the course requires that the thesis plan is approved by the thesis supervisor or the working life partner.
