Specific arrangements for recognition of prior learning

According to the Degree Regulations of Metropolia University of Applied Sciences students may apply for identification and accreditation for prior learning as part of their compulsory or optional studies, provided they have prior learning corresponding to the curriculum before the course in question begins.

Profile of the programme

The studies develop wide-range expertise in digital media, prepare for employment in media companies and other organizations in varying expert positions and enables development in demanding expert-level tasks. In addition, the studies prepare for managerial positions and varying development and project work.

A Master’s Degree in Applied Sciences qualifies for the same public positions and tenures as a University Master’s Degree (Act 426/2005).

The assessment criteria are defined in the in the degree regulations of Metropolia and course-specific requirements are described in the course descriptions in the curriculum.

Graduation requirements

To be able to graduate the student has to pass her/his studies according to the curriculum and the general qualification requirements.
