Student
- is familiar with the strategies, programmes and current trends related to promoting mental health
- identifies prevention and promotion
- applies evidence-based mental health promotion methods
- identifies ethical issues related to mental health care promotion, and understands the effect of stigma on individuals and communities
- understands the importance of participation and exclusion to individuals and communities
- understands the significance of early interaction and is familiar with the use of early-intervention methods (trauma orientation, intergenerational transmission, Let's Talk about Children method, Early Interaction method)

Prevention and promotion
Methods of evidence-based mental health promotion methods and applying them
Ethical aspects of mental health care promotion
Effect of stigma on individuals and communities
Importance of participation and exclusion to individuals and communities
Importance of early interaction to individuals and families
Use of early intervention methods in clinical work (trauma orientation, intergenerational transmission, Let's Talk about Children method, Early Interaction method, discussing personal concerns)

The student demonstrates competence in the basic content of the course, but there are deficiencies in his/her ability to find and interpret information and to apply the learned content to the context of working life.
