Objective

The student
- knows his/her responsibilities and duties in promoting workplace safety
- becomes familiar with the safety plan of the workplace and is able to describe procedures for prevention of dangerous and threatening situations
- recognizes factors related to workplace safety and is able to manage situations threatening clients and occupational safety and challenging everyday situations
- is able to promote personal security at work
- recognizes an emergency, rescues from a life-threatening situation and starts appropriate first aid “
- is able to help and guide people of different ages and with various injuries or medical emergencies in primary care situations and is motivated to develop and maintain their first aid skills
- knows the main factors influencing fire safety and is able to promote fire safety at the workplace and use emergency fire extinguishing equipment appropriately.
